About Peter Kennedy
Born in Ireland, I learned sailing in the chilly waters of the Irish Sea. In my early 20's I became interested in sailing and soon became a keen racer, cruiser and navigator.
On moving to England in 1987 I earned my RYA yachtmaster offshore certification before heading off for a transatlantic trip to the West Indies to begin my professional sailing career. Since then I have cruised and raced extensively in the Caribbean the Med and the US East Coast as well as in such far flung places as Argentina and Australia. I continue to be a keen traveler and in 2006 achieved a life long ambition to visit the Himalayas.
I moved to Annapolis in 1990 and started my business soon after. I began to specialize in electrical systems and electronics, and in 1998 received my ABYC certification in marine electrical systems and in 2004 my ABYC certification in corrosion. In 2004 I also became a Certified Raymarine Installing Dealer. . I specialize in sales, design, installation, service and troubleshooting of marine electrical systems. Most of my sailing these days involves taking part in the Annapolis Yacht Club Wednesday night series on a J24 "Spaceman Spiff"
In 2005 I moved into this waterfront premises on Edgewood Road in Annapolis
