Raymarine Radar / Chartplotters

Raymarine's C and E series displays offer a wide range of display sizes, features, and add ons.
E Series

The most powerful multifunction displays, Raymarine E-Series delivers chartplotter, fishfinder, radar, and video in an easy to use networked navigation system. Capable of accommodating Sirius weather radar and of displaying Platinum photo charts.

Featuring ultra bright displays, a customizable navigation interface, and super fast networking, E-Series sets the new standard for integrated marine electronics.

C Series

Chartplotter, Fishfinder, Radar or All-In-One

With inputs for GPS sensor, radar and digital sounder module, C-Series Multifunction Navigation Displays are easily transformed into a single station navigation system that’s just right for you.

The vast majority of radar installations get mast mounted using the Kato Marine semi-custom stainless mast mount with guard shown here, but we have on occasion mounted the radar on an Edson Pole on the transom.  The photo on the right shows it with an aft facing floodlight and an arch for a TV antenna.

Most people doing mast mounted radars also install flag halyards on the lower spreaders.

Garmin GPS / Chartplotters
This shows the Garmin 182C color chartplotter, our second most popular unit.  This features a high brightness TFT color LCD 5" diagonal display.  Full details can be seen on the Garmin website.  Garmin 182C

Garmin has an extensive range of chartplotters from the 3010C with a 10" screen down to a simple GPS only such as the GPS128  See the full range.

Raymarine uses Navionics Gold and Platinum charts.  C series uses only the Gold Charts, the E series can use either Gold or Platinum charts.  Navionics charts come on pre-programmed data cards.

Gold Charts look like a paper chart, complete with shaded depth contours, colored light sectors and real-world shapes and colors of buoys and navaids. A feature of Gold Charts is "XPlain", a plain-language description feature that, with just a click of the cursor, deciphers confusing navigational symbols into plain-language everyone can understand

Platinum Charts are available in XL3-size coverage areas for the US, Canada, Europe and Oceania. They contain all of the features of the Gold charts with the addition of  3D View, Satellite Photo Overlay, Panoramic Pictures, Port Services & Points-of-Interest, Dynamic Tides & Currents, Coast Pilot Books

A card reader is available with FREE trip planning software to use these charts on your computer.

Garmin uses their own proprietary Blue Chart format with similar features. Charts are available on CD or on pre-programmed data cards.  A card reader is available to use these cards on a computer for trip planning at home. Other Electronics
We have installed a wide range of other electronics on Geminis. Our most popular item is a DCS capable dual station VHF.  These are available from ICOM ( The IC-M422), Standard Horizon, (the Intrepid+) and Uniden makes a wireless version, the Polaris
